Goodbye Elli
« on: June 17, 2014, 12:21:57 PM »
We picked Elli out when she was 3 weeks old

After 11 years of Agility trials and thousands of tennis balls we decided that she was done battling bone cancer in her jaw. She got to the point where she couldn't pick up her tennis ball anymore (used to hold two in her mouth) and wouldn't even run after it anymore.

This was taken her final morning with us

We are so sorry for your loss; but her suffering is over and she is enjoying a pain-free existence over the rainbow bridge:

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Very sorry for your loss.  We also just recently had to put one of our beloved dogs down.   It was a very difficult decision, but the right thing to do.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

So so sorry for your loss. It is a very hard thing to go through.  We buried my last one right off of our deck and I still talk to her till this day. We have pictures of her on the wall in the garage where she use to lay and wait for that low diesel truck to come over the hill. This was 7 years ago.
